As the school year starts and people start getting back into the academic routine, it’s time for the library to start catching up after the summer rush.
Storytime starts back in mid-September and following that, things move quickly to our holiday festivities.
Although it is still August, we are already working on our activities for December. By October, we will already be planning for next summer’s programs.
Over the next few weeks you will begin to see more information on the fall events we are planning. In addition to planning events for the library, we will also take time this fall to work on weeding our collection, inventorying, and organizing.
We are always looking for volunteers at the library. If there is something that you think you could do for the library, please come down and talk to Kelli about volunteer opportunities.
Just a reminder, library cards are available for those who can provide proof of residence in Van Zandt County and photo identification. A guardian must sign for children ages 5-17.
Regular business hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. Call 903-962-5516 for more information or visit our website at www.grandsalinelibrary.com.
Please follow our facebook page, twitter (@saltcitylibrary), or webpage to find the latest information about the activities at the library.
